How would the dynamic at home change if all adults received a government stipend, regardless of their employment status?

 @9KHM7MDanswered…3mos3MO

I think this would be a good idea however in practice I think companies would raise their prices knowing that everyone had more money to spend, making it useless. There should be a cap on how much the cost of living can be raised so that things like a stipend would actually have a benefit on those struggling financially.

Imagine your salary was enough for a comfortable life but there was a cap; how would this change your approach to work?

 @9KH7NXM answered…3mos3MO

Having a cap on how much you’d be able to earn would benefit society massively. The cap should mainly focus on getting rid of billionaires. Having that much money is unethical, no matter how hard you’ve worked or what you’ve invented. As Newton said, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and if someone has more money than they can even comprehend, there are for sure some consequences that come with that, whether it’s individuals being taken advantage of, or environmental impacts etc etc.
Banning the ability to become a billionaire would balance out the distribution of wealth, and would encourage people to focus on living a fulfilling life rather than excessive consumerism and earning money for the sake of earning money.
