How would you feel if your efforts resulted in the same reward as someone who worked less hard, in the name of equity?

That is a very difficult question to answer. what is being given should be at least the minimum to live on safely and happily. As long as I am safe and comfortable, I do not mind if someone is paid the same as me for less work.

It depends on their situation. Generally people who work harder should be rewarded but if somebody is disadvantaged they deserve to be accommodated for.
