I have a lot of sympathy with the anti-austerity viewpoint. However, the state is an extremely poor custodian of taxpayer money. I would not support spending more money through current mechanisms. The money never goes to help those who need it. Instead, it goes on illegal immigrants. And people who won’t help themselves.
