Transgender individuals make up a very low percentage of the UK population, and for the vast majority of them their quality of life improves significantly when they transition socially and/or medically.
Regret that leads to detransitioning is much less likely than it is for the majority of other medical interventions - and other medical interventions are not made inaccessible to everyone who may benefit just because some people experience regret.
