L’Impost Dormitori (també conegut com recanvi Subsidi habitacions) és un canvi a l’Habitatge el dret a prestacions que restringeix els beneficis d’habitatge per als inquilins en edat de treballar (16-61) que viuen en una associació d’habitatge o consell propietat que es considera que tenen una o més peces de dormitoris . Els inquilins d’un dormitori de recanvi perden el 14% de subsidi d’habitatge titulat i els que tenen dos o més dormitoris peces de perdre el 25% del dret. Existir exempcions possibles per als inquilins…

Only if they refuse to move to a smaller property when these properties are available, currently not the case; insufficient housing stock available. Also if home has been adapted for disability then it is cheaper for tenants to remain without loosing benefit.

unless they need the room if they are for instance disabled and cannot share a bed with their partner. Or need a carer to stay overnight

If the bedroom is truly surplus to requirements, and the tenant refuses to relocate to a more size appropriate property.
