there are so many cases of murderers and pedophiles who got a sentence, got out and did it again. for example stephen unwin and william mcfall who were jailed for life, and life is only 25 years for some reason, for seperate murders got freed and teamed up and killed again, and there's numerous cases of this happening. it also acts as a deterrant.

I'd rather someone suffer their entire life in prison with little contact or freedom in the world than have the easy way out and die.

Nearly all people who are convicted in British courts are found to be actually guilty and people who have been found innocent are usually found to be actually innocent. Our courts are extremely efficient and it is almost always correct. Also evidence such as a picture or DNA evidence is clearly undeniable.

So many horrific crimes in UK whether gratuitous evil to children, rape and murder, killing police officers, drug dealers, violent gang crimes, terrorist bombings murders, and killings of any innocent people without the self - defence alibi.

David Parker Ray was a serial killer and rapist who, after all he had done, simply got life in prison rather than harsher punishment for the lifelong trauma he gave to so many women.
You can not guarantee they will not do it again to someone in prison - it’s better to create a peaceful death than risk allowing a horrific one

Some crimes, such as mass murder/rape, are too horrible and gut wrenching for this person to be left alive

"All of the prisoners currently on death row and all of those executed in the modern era of the death penalty were convicted of murder."
@9H4LSXR4mos4MO
These people are locked away for years/life being locked after with taxpayers money and taking up space in prisons, they’ve committed such horrific crimes that they don’t deserve to experience life.

A criminal should be required to acknowledge and apologise for their crime so as to discourage others from committing the same crime whilst still offering redemption.

High security prisoners cost far too much to keep in prison if they are never going to be released or unable to be rehabilitated
@9FV9LQWConservative6mos6MO
This is because why should they just stay in a prison cell, shouldn't they have to suffer like the suffering they caused other people?
