Yes, but only after living in the country for 5 years and not eligible to vote in any other country.

 @9M37GWZanswered…6 days6D

Once they have been working and paying taxes and for at least 5 years and have legal UK citizenship then yes.

 @9M35YVWanswered…6 days6D

Commonwealth citizens should have the right to vote but also, citizenship shouldn't be the criteria to vote. There should be a stint in civil service or a test/points earned to give the right to vote. Just because you live somewhere should not give you the right.

Any legal citizen living in the UK deserves the vote, and UK citizens living abroad should not have a vote.

 @9LZY2CKLabouranswered…1wk1W

Yes, but only if they are European Union citizens and/or intending to stay in the UK for the long-term

 @95YYS43answered…2yrs2Y

 @95Y4443answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as they pay taxes/ actively work and lived in the country for over 5 years

 @95WVN3Kanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes but only after living here for 5 years unless they have moved due to displacement or through evacuation processes. Then they should be given right on entry to country

 @95WCV9BReclaimanswered…2yrs2Y

No, only legal citizens residing in the country should be allowed to vote

 @95TLNZ3answered…2yrs2Y

Only if they have lived in Britain for 7 years and can prove they pay taxes on all their world wide income to HMRC

 @95TD79Tanswered…2yrs2Y

So long as they are either citizens or permanent residents. I suppose you could also make a reasonable argument for eu citizens who lived in the UK pre brexit. But just having to currently reside in a country during the time of an election shouldn't give people the right to vote.

People should have to live in the country for 6 months before they can vote

 @944N37Vanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, if planning on residing in the United Kingdom for the next 4 years.

 @944L6FNanswered…2yrs2Y

If they are working and have become UK citizens for between 1-3 years I don’t see why not

 @943NVX9answered…2yrs2Y

I think they should have to live here for a certain amount of time, pay taxes and NI in the country

 @9426M4Fanswered…2yrs2Y

If they reside for the amount of time the elected official is in power.

 @93YKCHQanswered…2yrs2Y

Only if they hold British Passports and have lived in the country for a year at minimum

Yes, but only until the proceeding voting election has run it's course, then they can fairly vote for the next voting election.

 @93TGF7Hanswered…2yrs2Y

No, but lower taxes for those who do not have the right to vote, and encourage those who have been in the country for more than 5 years to become a citizen within the next 5 or leave.

 @93T7NXRGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, with the assumption that they are or intend to become citizens (guests/tourists/visitors should not vote)

 @93RV5NYanswered…2yrs2Y

If they pay taxes and have no criminal record and they have been in the uk for more than 5 years

 @93RMK6Lanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes but only if they have lived here for 5+ years for local and 10+ for governmental elections and if they plan on living here long term.

 @93RJYSNanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, in local elections, after living in the country and paying taxes for a extended period (for instance 5 years). They should have a right to vote on issues that affect them locally.
