Any overseas company with a UK branch or office must pay UK Corporation Tax on company profits arising in the UK. On 23 September 2022, the government announced that the increase in the Corporation Tax main rate to 25% and the introduction of a small profits rate of tax from 1 April 2023. The U.S. currently taxes corporations at 21%, France at 26.5% and Germany at 15%.

Yes, but only on unskilled labour.
@9BTJW4S12mos12MO
The government should not interfere in the free market, but at the same time taxation is theft and private companies shouldn't be taxed in the first place.
@9BRYVMN12mos12MO
a lot of private companies avoid tax if they don't want to pay it.
@9B84XHJ1yr1Y
I believe that companies should be Nationalized but it depends on the situation.
@9B5H7GB1yr1Y
Don’t understand the question
@99QYDG81yr1Y
Companies should be given 'tax bribes', in any situation, but the UK tax system should be made fair enough to give all businesses including start ups a reasonable chance of success
@99JNFGF1yr1Y
@9994P731yr1Y
No, but assume other measures may be required
@97N3H5CConservative1yr1Y
Allow more support for smaller businesses
@96YDX2T1yr1Y
The Government should have moderate tax rate and no tariffs to keep big businesses in Britain and increase growth
@96X84LM1yr1Y
Totally depends on the nature of the business and the location it employs people
@96SMX2C2yrs2Y
Yes, but only if they’re homegrown businesses headed by British nationals
@96Q59YL2yrs2Y
Yes, this will help keep jobs within the country and will decrease the unemployment rate
@95KK3SJ2yrs2Y
No, increase corporation tax and invest in community infrastructure
@97PXSY51yr1Y
nationalize the industry
@93XC5CV2yrs2Y
The current setup is good enough
Get rid of privatisation
@8KJS9694yrs4Y
Yes, they should create a system where small businesses get a tax break and also they should get Employment Allowance, which could actually reduce a company’s National Insurance bill by £4,000 a year if they have employees. I would also lower Corporation tax for companies who have profited from patented inventions. Companies should also be able to claim for petty cash expenses, the flat rate VAT scheme and zero employer National Insurance contributions for employees under 21.
@92SFWQZ2yrs2Y
No but add incentives for those that employ in the UK
@92D97LC2yrs2Y
Yes but stop companies from avoiding tax
No. Make the country more appealing with more investment
@8WJ2Y763yrs3Y
Yes, but only incentives that will benefit the country in other ways (clime change, etc.)
@8YVLB362yrs2Y
No but nationalise only for jobs
@8YGGHN72yrs2Y
No, but drastically increase taxes and import tariffs on outsourcing businesses and provide incentives in another manner and for taking worker representation on company boards.
@8P9Y8RG3yrs3Y
no, and punish them for removing jobs from the country
@8XLLNKT2yrs2Y
No, invest in community infrastructure to make the UK an attractive place for private businesses to operate.
