The benefit of high speed is significantly outweighed by the impact of delays caused by degraded infrastructure. I would rather guarantee that I can get to a place in the expected time than get there marginally faster. I would prefer to get to the place in a new, electric train, even if it is slower than the high speed one.

In an age where the environment is considered to be of vital importance and the leading political party are concerned with celebrating our country's history, the destruction of ancient woodlands should not be allowed. Improve local public transport instead.

Now that millions of £ have been spent, thousands of trees/woods have been destroyed, people have had to move from homes - its criminal to scrap the HS2 it should be finished, but it should never have started.

What benefit will wales get from that? Wales are contrubuting to a rail network that does benefit them when they dont have trains that get them from north to south

Two much money being spent on HS2 that will not benefit the north west. Let’s work on getting trains running across country too.

The bigger a construction project, the more it will go over budget, which will lead to a lot of money wasted for a very small result.

Divert the costs into renovating and modernising current infrastructure without destroying any more of our already shrinking countryside

 @9HRWTHNLabourdisagreed…4mos4MO

It’s a waste of time as the trains will be about 95% too exepnsive anyway, if train prices were comparable to driving more would use. Renationalise our railways!

Wast of money, just improve the quality of existing trains and engineering and services to a much higher degree and comfy and safety.
We do have high speed computers and electronics offices today whether on existing trains or work from home hahahaha

More accessibility to people especially in the north, shows the rest of the world the UK is competent in delivering HS2
