No they shouldn’t, this day in age, there are laws and acts which prevent discrimination in the workplace, your argument to this shouldn’t be “well I’ve experienced it” because no you haven’t, and if you did you’d report it and something would be done about it with sufficient proof. Women are just as capable to go to the board of directors and therefore both genders should earn it

If someone is the right fit for the job it shouldn't matter who, people who have issue with this just have issue with the power not the representation and wouldn't care about representation in less power, dignified and more dangerous job roles. Genders haves inherent tendencies which represent themselves in the natural gender diversity of the workforce.
