You pay taxes like the rest of us but you don't get to say what happens in this country or how it is run

If they pay taxes then they are supporting the UK economy and therefore should have the chance to share their vote in the OKs political system which may effect their lives.

People who have ever payed taxes will have a deeper understanding of many economic situations than those who haven’t. There are many teenagers, who although have important world views, will not understand how taxes are used, what is taxed, why and how lowering taxes will actually degrade some important aspects of life.
Refugees are more often than not skilled individuals! Allow them to work, vote, pay tax and live a life!

People temporarily living/working in a country will likely vote on very short term considerations, while those who've committed to live in a country are more likely to consider a broader range of issues on a longer time horizon. This especially applies when there are very low barriers to being a temporary worker in New Zealand.
