Southern Rail, lack of any real cohesion and the enourmous prices of train companies charging as they’re incentive is for money and not public transport.

It is currently cheaper to fly to a range of foreign countries than it is to travel across the Uk by train.

Don't be silly . It's public transport and should be available for everyone, possibly free of charge .

Its either we fund to help those in transport or we look at cost of living. If they havent had a wage increase in more than 2 years then that needs to be addressed. Wages should keep up with inflation at minimum.

Private companies do not care about the people they are supposed to serve. Recently the largest Bus company in Glasgow announced it was removing night services across most if its routes including at the weekend meaning people would no longer be able to get the bus home if they worked late at night. They did this because of profit on the routes not being enough. The company made over £83 million net profit in 2022. It's clear public service isn't the priority for these companies.

With more money more services and more routes could be put in place to make public transport the best option

Look at transport in EU countries who have nationalised transport services. Ours are embarrassingly bad value and quality in comparison.

Train prices are so expensive it’s cheaper to fly to another country then get the train to the other side of the country
