How do notions of success and ambition align or conflict with the idea of redistributing resources?

 @9KMVKWPanswered…2mos2MO

For me a woman shouldn't be given a role just because she's a woman but rather if a woman is the best candidate for the job she should have an equal opporunity of succeeding and compensated fairly for it.

Discuss a time when you saw wealth inequality intersect with gender bias; what lesson did that teach you?

 @9HTKK9Vcommented…4mos4MO

Men get what they want, while women have to work harder. Coloured people have to work even harder to get what a white man gets by default.

How can understanding the history of feminist movements change our approach to current social challenges?

 @9LCX29Qanswered…1mo1MO

I don't believe that women in the UK are oppressed and feel that teaching it as fact is dangerous. Learning from the past should actually enable us to see how far we've come and that the women's liberation movement was somewhat successful but that an unintended bi-product is that many women now struggle to juggle a career with childcare and that actually we are less happy as a result.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

In your view, why is it important to understand and address both gender and economic inequality simultaneously?

 @9KVKP6KGreenanswered…2mos2MO

Because decreasing the gender-pay-gap is a major issue regarding gender equality that needs to be addressed through economic regulation.

How would the dynamics of politics change if there was an equal representation of genders across all economic backgrounds?

 @9HTKK9Vcommented…4mos4MO

All voices would be heard. At the moment, it seems that migrants are listened to more. They get a say on their laws and traditions, to over power our own. White people are silenced more too. If we say something controversial we can be prosecuted for hate crime, but people of colour get away with it as police are too scared to make arrests incase the race card is used against them. It should be English rules and regulations n that's it. You want your own, go back to where you could practice them freely.

If education focused more on collaboration than competition, how might that transform your school experience?

 @9HTKK9Vcommented…4mos4MO

It won't. Children need to know that coming second or third etc is losing. Plus that you had fun during the competition. Collaboration mean you don't learn defeat and can't accept it when it happens. Competition is good for you.
I generally lose, but I know I tried my best, but it wasnt good enough. So be it
