How might your family's economic situation influence your opinion on government spending in social sectors?
@9HWPKV5 6mos6MO
I have a lot of sympathy with the anti-austerity viewpoint. However, the state is an extremely poor custodian of taxpayer money. I would not support spending more money through current mechanisms. The money never goes to help those who need it. Instead, it goes on illegal immigrants. And people who won’t help themselves.

@9LJ8C8P2mos2MO
We need to fund emergency services,, and other parts - also as economist Mariana Mazzucato argues, austerity often increases debt to GDP ratio, and kills off growth in the economy, and so instead we need to invest in growth (wise spending, not just throwing money at a problem, but making a strategic decision about how this is spent.
