No if a pact with their own nations is struck (whereby brits can get free emergency healthcare in their country and viceversa)

 @9P5BQQDanswered…10mos10MO

Emergency care should not be denied a to those who cannot afford it, but if they can they should pay a proportion of the care they have received in relation to what they can afford

 @9MQYMMRanswered…10mos10MO

Emergency care shouldn't be denied, however longterm care should be under insurance or pay as you go for foreign visitors.

 @9MPSGSTanswered…10mos10MO

Visitors who can afford it or have insurance should pay. Anyone that cannot afford it should not be denied.

 @9M6DYRTanswered…11mos11MO

Pay after treatment, but not before they return home, medical insurance must be compulsory before visit

 @9JN9DWDanswered…1yr1Y

If they have the ability to buy if it is an emergency and they cannot afford to pay they shouldn’t be required to do so

 @9D9DL47answered…2yrs2Y

 @9GJ99RLGreenanswered…1yr1Y

If there is no reciprocal agreement with UK citizens in their country and if treatment is given first and inability to pay erases debt.

 @9N26WQ2answered…10mos10MO

I believe they should provide an EHIC like card to ensure their care however this should be an easily accessible thing for them

 @9BXGHFCGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

As they have not paid UK tax there should be a small charge but it should still be made easily accessible

 @9BWYF87answered…2yrs2Y

No, but there should be a limit to how long they can receive NHS treatment.

 @96NVYLSSNPanswered…2yrs2Y

Depends. If the case is stupidity (like getting their penis stuck in a toaster) then yes. Other than silly cases, most should be free

 @966BGWSanswered…2yrs2Y

Should have to prove insurance - but free emergency care for asylum seekers etc.

 @959L867Liberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

only those who are from a country with non-free healthcare who can afford it

 @92HK3JSConservativeanswered…3yrs3Y

only urgent care should be covered (ambulances emergency surgeries etc.) but long term treatments/medication should be paid for

 @92HFC9Qanswered…3yrs3Y

Offer a similar system like that of the GHIC card but for foreign nationalities.

 @8Z77BL8answered…3yrs3Y

Yes if they can afford it but no-one should be denied urgent care due to lack of money

 @8YGH8YXanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, if it is feasible for them to pay it without getting into significant financial hardship.

 @8Y2GV9Xanswered…3yrs3Y

 @8XRRYP3answered…3yrs3Y

It depends on if they sustain the injury in the country or not. If they do they should be provided free care. If they arrive in the UK needing treatment then no.

 @8WSWZFCConservativeanswered…3yrs3Y

People should have insurance however if someone cannot afford treatment then no one should be denied emergency treatment

 @8SR54YLanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8SQQPRFanswered…4yrs4Y

They should have insurance when visiting the UK which should cover emergency treatment but if they don’t they should pay.

 @8SNS8ZPanswered…4yrs4Y

Emergency treatment should be given regardless where you are from however things like dental work shouldn’t be done outside of uk citizens as it is cheaper over here

 @8SNPS9SLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

 @8SMZZQGanswered…4yrs4Y

They should pay a small sum towards the treatment as it is United Kingdom citizens who are paying to run the nhs. They should also be given years to pay it back if they cannot afford it upright

 @8SMPWFZanswered…4yrs4Y

Emergency care should be provided for free when needed, but the system should not be regularly abused.

 @8SGGXDJLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

It should be the same as a UK citizen would find visiting their country

 @8S44YH9Liberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

Where travel medical insurance is available and affordable to the visitor, they should be expected to use it. However, no one should be refused for not having such insurance.

 @8QPXGPQanswered…4yrs4Y

Those whose countries do not offer free emergency services to UK citizens should.

 @8Q4QX6Qanswered…4yrs4Y

If it's an emergency, it should be free, just as if we were on holiday and had to go to the emergency room, we shouldn't have to pay

 @8PKNQL6answered…4yrs4Y

if they have lived here for 3 years legally minimum then yes? or atleast at a discounted rate

 @8P57PWSanswered…4yrs4Y

No, not at point of usage. However, a bill should be issued after treatment.

 @8KMJJVZLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

if they have insurance then they shouldn’t need to pay if it’s covered

 @9BQVXJ7Labouranswered…2yrs2Y

If they are visiting yes if they are residents or have right to remain then no

 @9BQT6MGanswered…2yrs2Y

I think depending on what kind of medical emergency it is should depend on whether or not foreigners should have to pay for emergency healthcare

 @99MZVSPanswered…2yrs2Y

No but it has to be a legal stay and have to have fallen ill in the uk and only serious illnesses

 @99CS8PSGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

Emergency care should not be denied to those who cannot afford it but there should be a cost to those abusing the healthcare system in the UK foreign and domestic

 @98ZW3LNanswered…2yrs2Y

Depends if it was an accident or not. if they came over here for the nhs specifically than yes. if it was an accident on holiday no.

 @98B854Kanswered…2yrs2Y

 @97N8C4Manswered…2yrs2Y

 @8NRNKRTanswered…4yrs4Y

They should be a U.K. citizen and pay national insurance considering it can be taken advantage of by people looking for free healthcare. It can mean the NHS won’t be able to provide for the people.
