People involved in the benefit system are often disadvantaged and unable to work the hours needed to benefit from this type of reform. For example, single parents or homeless people who may be suffering depression, anxiety over the cost of living and addiction issues may not be in the right mental state to work regular hours or, indeed, any hours at all. People on benefits are often the most disadvantaged and stigmatised in society, and it is the government's responsibility to provide them more accessible aid rather than attempt to save costs by making the benefit system less adept to accommodate thier basic human needs.

the system should ensure that people who can't make ends meet can be momentarily supported. however it is a great danger for one to become so accustomed to the government to provide services as the govt doesn't have the citizens best interest, and thus should not be questioned. rather get should act as an entity which intervenes in case of market failure, ro to stimulate markets, not control them.
