Yes, in order for children to be raised in a functioning society that sees all as equals, it is vital that historical references be clarified as to the perspective from time period and how that relates to present day

 @9Q7C2WNLiberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

It should be taught while simultaneously acknowledging the current biases within and without the theory. And recognize that it is a theory not fact, but still affects history.

 @9PRT4FYLiberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

No, kids should be raised to be tollerant of difference instead of being taught they are inherently racist or disadvantaged based on the color of their skin

 @9PQ4JW5Liberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

it should be taught to children in a way in which they do not understand why people are treated differently and to not do it themselves

 @9PMWSRKLiberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

What the British Isles lacks is the education on ethnicity and social conception of race in our society

 @9PK8GRXLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

It is dependant on what the parents think, but I think that primary school shouldn't teach it, as children that young do not even think about race, but in secondary school they are more impressionable as they understand more, but it is ultimately what environment they grow up in.

 @9P2HGFFLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

No as it is a graduate level course. But a basic understanding of race and institutional racism should be taught

 @9P26MJWLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

No but an understanding of our honest history should be taught and how this may influence society now.

 @9NX8S4KLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

It should be taught in schools as part of the health and wellbeing curriculum, but age and stage appropriate

 @9NSPSKDLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

Kids should be made aware that this is a legitimate viewpoint, and outlook on society, but that some disagree with it. The job of teachers isn't to tell pupils exactly what to think, but to open students minds to all different kinds of thinking and make sure they're making an informed choice on what to believe.

The existence of critical race theory should be taught and what it means but not pushed as true or false.

 @9J72CPSLiberal Democratanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, but giving children the tools to support abolishing racism rather than lecturing and blaming them

 @9BTJW4Sanswered…2yrs2Y

We should privatize the education system and allow each private company/school to decide.

 @948C72CLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

We should live in societies where history is taught without prejudice. So that children not only learn of slavery and the holocaust but also of the great ancient empires of Africa and the rich culture of Judaism. Education from Primary ages is the only way to eradicate racism.

 @945K7TRLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

Critical Race Theory is a specific theory which relates to the intersection of race society and law in the United States. It is generally only taught to certain students on specific Masters Degrees. Why would this be taught to children in primary and secondary school - particularly in the United Kingdom?

 @93V6RQ3Liberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

It's not being taught in schools anyway! It's a legal theory to explain the persistent inequality that African-Americans still face to this day and is all taught once one gets to higher education. Critical race theory in the sense used was propogated by far-right-wingers who wanted to paint the education system as unjust or non-nationalistic to further their own agenda! Really silly question!

CRT is a made up BS culture war of people looking to keep social dominance over others. Racism exists anyone saying different is either deluded, out of touch or lying for their own bigoted reasons.

 @8Y97CS9Liberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

Teach it as a theory not as fact with counter arguments to allow students to make up their own mind

 @8XKW96DLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

Only if critical race theory is not simply taught as absolute fact, but a potential explanation of institutional racism. Students should be exposed to a wide variety of ideas.

 @8VF3VMHLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

No but it should be an option to take as a GCSE course and mainly revolve around history and ways to change for the better.

 @8SXRVDSLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

It should be taught, alongside - not at the exclusion of - other relevant concepts

 @8RXDWTQLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, because CRT is just a point of view but it should not be mandatory

 @89KMD5WLibertariananswered…4yrs4Y

It is a crying shame that such a thing is taught to kids sometimes younger than 10. Assuming that kids of one colour are inherently racist and kids of another colour are naturally disadvantaged is immoral and defeats the object of tolerating everyone regardless of their ethnicity.

 @89KMD5WLibertariananswered…4yrs4Y

It is a crying shame that such a thing is taught to kids sometimes younger than 10. Teaching kids that 'one race inherently hates the other' will only divide rather than unify.

 @9CTZ3S7Liberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

Critical Race Theory is a university level module, it has never and will never be taught in schools.

 @98PY9M4Libertariananswered…2yrs2Y

No, but CRT can be taught in the relevant subjects at GCSE and A-level (e.g. Sociology)

 @8Y2K2XZLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

No, because it is an academic theory which can only meaningfully be studied in higher education
