Should critical race theory be taught in primary and secondary school?
Critical race theory is the claim that institutions, laws, and history are inherently racist. It argues that white people have put up social, economic, and legal barriers between the races in order to maintain their elite status, both economically and politically and that the source of poverty and criminal behavior in minority communities is due exclusively to these barriers.

No, telling whites children they are inherently racist is not only racist in itself but also increases the likelihood of those children being racist in the future. Racism exists against all cultures and therefore only awareness is required. People need to be less sensitive and move on.

until we see everyone as equal, raising it as an issue in schools will probably not help. we need to ensure that everyone is treated equally
Stop teaching kids that if you are not white you are at a disadvantage it's a lie to keep is divided

There has always been racism in all societies historically. We now live in a world where it seems only white people are racist. The truth is they are the minority per head of population. Other ethnic groups are far more racist be it historical or current political stances in other countries. This can also affect whatever their ethnic ancestry might be.

Yes, as to grow up colour blind is counter intuitive as all our difference should be embraced not ignored, History should be taught as a whole not to an agenda to victimize or prosecute people by race. People are inherently good and bad, its individual choice and circumstance that dictate that outcome and if you look back through history understanding that then you can use it to make the right choices in the future

I believe we should provide a complete education highlighting the entire history of slavery and class as the white people as well as black have a history of slavery within their own communities we cannot and should not apologize for our ancestors we can only be better moving forward however it should be noted the Irish people and other poor people in history were also enslaved I could go on

We should educate children on the history of different races. Where some people originate, celebrate that different people are different colours and embrace it. We should teach the history but then leave them to make their own opinions about it.

Historical views of all sides should be shown but people shouldn’t be shamed of who they are because of what their ancestors have done
@9NGXSHSConservative10mos10MO
Yes but until they are mature enough to understand because kids do not fully know what had happened.

We should privatize the education system and allow each private company/school to decide.
@8Y32P3XConservative3yrs3Y
Yes, but alongside the criticisms of critical race theory. It should not be taught with a bias

Don’t know enough about the subject to comment
@8RLYLWQConservative4yrs4Y
Only when kids move to secondary school should they be taught about the racial injustices this planet has faced
@9BTX993Conservative2yrs2Y
No, and schools who do should be punished, with teacher's facing the consequences of their leftist brainwashing of innocent children
@99HRH9RConservative2yrs2Y
No, and imprison teachers who teach the theory.
@98VPLGFConservative2yrs2Y
Yes and other views should also be presented to give a balanced education
