CRT is a university level course and is not taught at any primary or secondary school levels. Racism and other social issues should be taught but this is not teaching CRT.

 @9ZCWX4Hanswered…5mos5MO

Primary age should not be “taught” specifically, but it could be mentioned if relevant to another topic Secondary age can go in to more detail

 @9QXNYG3answered…9mos9MO

I think it should only be taught in later secondary school and stressed that it is a theory and not every organisation is like this

 @9QGNHDHanswered…9mos9MO

We should have a complete overhaul of historical education. Get rid of black history month to be integrated properly into every month. We should ask the same question in history as we do in sex education, would you like to know more? History is important but not all the time. Children are much better than adults sometimes at getting along with each other. Regardless of race, sex, identity the newer generations seem to be more adept at moving forward rather than allowing old prejudices to keep them backwards. Other times it does make sense to have some grounding in history to understand our place in this mad world that we all have to learn to share.

I feel like education shouldn't focus solely on critical race theory but rather incorporate it into history already taught, being more transoarent. I feel the more focus that is put on skin colour differences, the more likely kids are to separate themselves beacsuebif the colour of their skin

 @9Q9JXH8answered…9mos9MO

Critical Race Theory should be presented as a theory in the context of respectful discussion and debate

 @9PXXJ3PUKIPanswered…9mos9MO

Stop teaching kids that if you are not white you are at a disadvantage it's a lie to keep is divided

 @9PRKGFLLabouranswered…9mos9MO

Critical Race Theory isn't and won't be taught in Primary or Secondary Schools so the question is a false choice.

 @9PQPPPDanswered…9mos9MO

Children at play school and primary school don't have prejudice this is learnt after the age of seven normally from role models

 @9PNLF2Zanswered…9mos9MO

Whilst supporting teaching that challenges racism I am not convinced that critical race theory is the answer.

 @9PMWSRKLiberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

What the British Isles lacks is the education on ethnicity and social conception of race in our society

 @9PM4NH4answered…9mos9MO

There needs to be an understanding that all nations at some point in their history have done things that would be considered racist. Yes we need to learn about them but what we actually need is to educate people on just seeing each other as people and your "fellow man"

 @9PJQ365answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but alongside being taught about the need for equality & fairness with no bias to race (or anything else that can disadvantage an individual as this should be an important part of a wider set of teaching)

 @9PHSZTRLabouranswered…10mos10MO

Yes but I believe it should be taught as a point of view, rather than the definitive truth. They should be given evidence for and against this theory and what they can do to end any kind of racism, rather than just say "you're a racist" or "Don't try everyone else is a racist"

 @9PDF4T7answered…10mos10MO

Not to the full extent but the values of people as a whole should be taught in primary and then further added to as the child progresses

 @9PBTFM4answered…10mos10MO

I believe that we cannot end racism until we acknowledge that our institutions are racist, but I also believe that a lot of children now a days do not pay attention to skin colour, so there is an argument for not highlighting the difference between people.

 @9P9NK6Tanswered…10mos10MO

Yes and add all other biases but lean in to the historical element and teach how we’re evolving and changing over time with an eye on a better future.

 @9P7BYMLConservativeanswered…10mos10MO

I believe we should provide a complete education highlighting the entire history of slavery and class as the white people as well as black have a history of slavery within their own communities we cannot and should not apologize for our ancestors we can only be better moving forward however it should be noted the Irish people and other poor people in history were also enslaved I could go on

 @9P78DH2answered…10mos10MO

Critical race theory is a complex subject taught at universities - it is not taught at primary or secondary level

 @9NVJ3WYanswered…10mos10MO

It's not as simple as that, yes I believe it's an issue that needs addressing, the class system is a huge factor in this, and the availability of equal opportunities to all. Teaching it is all very good and well, but how does this actually change the system?

 @9NV2V2Sanswered…10mos10MO

No but accurate teaching of our history and the racist elements of it should be taught with honest reflection of the lasting impact of that racism discussed in an age appropriate way.

 @9NSPSKDLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

Kids should be made aware that this is a legitimate viewpoint, and outlook on society, but that some disagree with it. The job of teachers isn't to tell pupils exactly what to think, but to open students minds to all different kinds of thinking and make sure they're making an informed choice on what to believe.

 @9NPW26Panswered…10mos10MO

Yes, I think it’s important to learn about this perspective as well as the opposing theory, to support kids to critically think and form their own opinions.

 @9M4Y9XQanswered…11mos11MO

Yes, Critical race theory should be discussed in classes like social studies where a measure where theory’s are reviewed on there merits

 @9LKNXHYanswered…12mos12MO

Definitely in secondary school. Anti discrimination & inclusivity should be taught and encouraged at a primary level but pulling out an Angela Davis quote might baffle an 8 year old

 @9HY2SMVanswered…1yr1Y

Mainly raised to be colour bling but through higher education and understanding yes. Regardless it is mainly down to the parents

 @9GJXC4MCount Binfaceanswered…1yr1Y

No, but kids should not be raised colour blind but rather aware that others come from different backgrounds and embrace them, not for the colour of their skin but the content of their character and what their backgrounds contribute to the world. Also acknowledging that things have gone wrong but not the full blown CRT stuff, just the "don't be a dick" stuff.

 @8T9HHPGanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes. Critical race theory isn't a dogma that can be "taught", it's a lens through which certain people view the world-- and children should be taught about the way these people view the world.

 @95YLM8Hanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only for those in secondary school and should be taught as a point of view rather than as fact

 @8ZNL4RHanswered…3yrs3Y

kids should be thought right from wrong. Racism is evil, and no child should think they are racist because they are white or a victim because they are black, they should be thought to learn from the past to improve themselves and society as a whole

 @8YTZY6Hanswered…3yrs3Y

racism wont end till realization has occurred that racism is amongst our society but younger generations should be taught that race an skin colour should never be a boundary or disadvantage.

 @8TF2NDManswered…4yrs4Y

Yes but alongside other sociological theories to allow students to form their own viewpoint.

 @89KMD5WLibertariananswered…4yrs4Y

It is a crying shame that such a thing is taught to kids sometimes younger than 10. Assuming that kids of one colour are inherently racist and kids of another colour are naturally disadvantaged is immoral and defeats the object of tolerating everyone regardless of their ethnicity.

 @89KMD5WLibertariananswered…4yrs4Y

It is a crying shame that such a thing is taught to kids sometimes younger than 10. Teaching kids that 'one race inherently hates the other' will only divide rather than unify.

 @9BTX993Conservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

No, and schools who do should be punished, with teacher's facing the consequences of their leftist brainwashing of innocent children

 @99F89S6answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but it should be taught as a viewpoint, rather than fact, to secondary school students only

 @98VPLGFConservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes and other views should also be presented to give a balanced education

 @96JFJ2Qanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but not until secondary school and even then it should only be taught as a point of view rather than a statement of fact

 @93CFYSRanswered…3yrs3Y

 @8YTZYG4answered…3yrs3Y

Both, kids should be raised to be racially colour blind however, they should acknowledge that history, laws and institutions are racist.
