Vaccine passports offer proof of immunity to people who have been inoculated with a vaccine. The concept gained traction after 2 vaccines were introduced to help combat the Coronavirus pandemic in November 2020. A vaccine passport would allow individuals to stop wearing masks if they could they have been inoculated and so aren’t a risk to others. Countries could require foreign visitors to have the passports in order to cross their border and restaurants, theaters and offices may make them mandatory in order to enter their premises. More than a dozen countries including Ghana and Nigeria currently require proof of vaccination against yellow fever before they are issued a visa.

No. These are authoritarian globalist tools. We are not China.
@8SK2V5W3yrs3Y
Yes, in areas social distancing isn't possible
Yes, but stick to the cards we get after vaccination as proof.
@8SJ9WVQConservative3yrs3Y
Yes, if all age groups are vaccinated
Yes but only for international travel and everyone should still wear a mask.
@8SDZ7X83yrs3Y
Yes, but only for events where social distancing can't be followed. Like clubs and festivals
@8SDGGSKBritish National3yrs3Y
No, all data shows it's a mild flu and not worth a gene therapy shot.
@8SBMZ233yrs3Y
No, this should never happen and it shouldn't be mandatory either.
@8S9D95B3yrs3Y
No. It is a violation of human rights, including the right to privacy, freedom of movement as well as the right to choose. It will absolutely result in a new marginalised class, for those who choose not to be vaccinated (for any reason). It will also result in the sovereign individual being controlled by by authoritarian rulers.
@8S999N93yrs3Y
I support some kind of inexpensive proof of receipt of the vaccine. We have to remain safe! And any measure that helps sustain life are surely important.
@8S88LXR3yrs3Y
They should be mandatory by the government
@8S88MTVConservative3yrs3Y
Yes, but only when everyone has been vaccinated so it is fair
No, these will lead to discrimination of those that are unable to have vaccines.
Only when vaccines are made available to everyone.
To be considered. Should really restrict travel for now to keep the country safe until everyone is vaccinated
@8SLKWZP3yrs3Y
Yes, but only temporary
@8SLGP5V3yrs3Y
To be considered but only essential travel until under control.
@8SL3DN83yrs3Y
Yes, but only for international travel. Masks should still be mandatory.
@8SKLXRQLiberal Democrat3yrs3Y
No because it is a step towards authoritarianism and also you shouldn't have to have a passport to live daily life. Should only be for international travel and important documents
No, it will just become another form of discrimination, especially considering there are people who have yet to even be offered any vaccinations
No, this is discrimation, pure and simple.
@8SCDMBL3yrs3Y
Yes, but only once everyone has been offered it.
@8S6YSMR3yrs3Y
No, though vaccinated can still carry a virus
Things would currently stay as they are, unless a petition was successful in getting a vote via Liquid Democracy.
@8SWPSJ73yrs3Y
Yes, but the vaccine is currently still experimental so can’t be mandated, and we don’t know yet whether it offers full immunity or whether it stops someone from passing it on between two third parties, so masks are still needed.
@8SQSZL63yrs3Y
Being given the right to decide whether or not to receive vaccination is counter productive if vaccine passports then prevent/punish those who acted on that right. However I do believe it should be in place for travelling outside of the UK and that quarantine should be in effect on their return
@8SPLX5V3yrs3Y
yes, and something for those that can not have vaccine to prove that is only reason they don't have
@8SNKXRX3yrs3Y
Yes, but that should include vaccination exempt for medical reasons
Once enough people have had the opportunity of a vaccine
@8S6B8PV3yrs3Y
No, since the pandemic is coming to a close anyway
@8S5HCT73yrs3Y
Absolutely not. These are discriminatory and violate basic human rights.
@8S5BKWN3yrs3Y
Yes, but they should not be required until everyone has been offered a vaccine.
@8S56N9F3yrs3Y
Not until all ages are able to have had both vaccines as at the moment, young people have had the opportunity to be vaccinated yet.
@8S2NS2H3yrs3Y
Yes, but only when every adult has been offered a vaccine
Yes but if you don't have one then testing should be available before entry so nobody is stopped from living their life
In addition to test results and docial distancing, masks etc
@8S2LVPJ3yrs3Y
No. This is a distraction and takes away focus on preventing virus spread through good public health measures and will dissuade the vaccine wary. Counter productive
@8RZJ6VN3yrs3Y
yes, as kind as the passports are not mandatory and people with vaccine passports should still have to wear a mask when travelling
@8SNLWTP3yrs3Y
yes they should but the vaccine is still only 80% effective so masks should still be worn unless they are exempt
@8S9MG7Y3yrs3Y
Yes but also issue exemption certificate to those medically at risk from receiving a vaccine
Vaccine dictatorship coming
@8S4BRBV3yrs3Y
This infringes on personal freedom and could serve as a potential security hazard, so no
@8S4BD443yrs3Y
No, this gives the goverment and big data too much control over our future freedom and is dangerous
@8S44KX23yrs3Y
This infringes on the freedom and liberty of the individual
@8S3DC5G3yrs3Y
Yes, as long as everyone has been offered a vaccine and it is only for large events/work sites
@8RWK8PD3yrs3Y
absolute not that is a infringement of our rights
@8SNM9G53yrs3Y
Yes, but only for international travel or large gatherings of people (I.e. sporting events, music festivals)
@8SJS3W93yrs3Y
Yes, but those without vaccines should still be able to travel, just with more difficulty (eg quarantine, social distancing, testing)
Yes - either vaccine or proof of negative test should be required
@8RPFQDW3yrs3Y
Yes, but only for international travel, but everyone should still wear a mask.
