Men and women are built differently. Men are men, women are women.

You can dress how you like and live life how you feel happiest, but at the end of the day you are what you are. As long as you are a good person who is kind to others is all that matters.

Under 18's should be protected from any influence so they can come to their own decision about what's right for them.

Children struggle to decide what film they want to watch and they change their minds almost everyday. It is not right that we allow children who at that age are heavily influenced by their peers and are not even fully grown humans to make such a fundamental change to their bodies with or without the consent of their parents.

People under 18 are easily influenced by trends and social media, their friends and other media content. While there are definitely cases where the individual should be allowed gender transition treatment, the risk of allowing readily accessible treatment for anyone with temporary gender dysphoria to permanently ruin their lives is too great. You also have parents and teachers with their own agendas to confuse and convert children to non-binary or transgender and they should not be given the opportunity to trick children into taking life-altering treatments

tv shows and social media are brainwashing vunerable young people who will later regret their decision.

Logic and science is the only answer. Provide the evidence to show that suicide rates have dropped as a result of gender confusion. Or that a child is mentally capable of deciding before we’d trust them to buy alcohol or vote.

 @9MY7M59agreed…2yrs2Y

While I fully support gender transition, I think it is vital that an individual is physically and mentally at a stage where they know for sure who they are.

See all news articles regarding opinions of the British Medical Association, supported by their data concerning: "gender-transition remorse".

 @9MZCXY4agreed…2yrs2Y

Only when you are of an age that is scientifically proven to be fully developed, both mentally and physically, then should you be allowed to transition and only following a period of living as the other sex.

 @9GZY9H7Conservativeagreed…3yrs3Y

Take for example, the increasing rape of women from men who are 'transitioning' to female, women are now beginning to fear even using FEMALE toilets or and changing rooms, due to many men taking advantage of the fact that it's so easy to say you've changed gender.

 @9GYT493agreed…3yrs3Y

Gender transition is not well funded or well researched. Support is patchy and uneven, making it difficult for all, especially children.

Puberty blockers used to treat children aged 12 to 15 who have severe and persistent gender dysphoria had no significant effect on their psychological function, thoughts of self-harm, or body image, a study has found.1

However, as expected, the children experienced reduced growth in height and bone strength by the time they finished their treatment at age 16.

The findings, from a study of 44 children treated by the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in London, have emerged as the trust prepares to appeal against a High Court ruling that led NHS England to pause referrals of under 16s for puberty blockers.2

Children (and adults under the age of 25) do not have fully matured brains and therefore do not have capacity to make life changing decisions. This is not a cost issue primarily but rather we should not be enabling anyone to make irreversible changes to their body because of the biological impossibility of changing sex.

 @9FKKQNXagreed…3yrs3Y

Gender Ideology has come up only recently in our culture and is highly identified in online circles and leftist circles, it acts as a modern day counterculture similar to the Hippie movements of the 60's. As history shows us, Counterculture revolutionary movements often die out as a generation grows up, however gender transitioning is more permanent and it can seriously stint a childs growth or development. This is a risk we should not allow our youth to take.

It is impinging on the rights of biological women and girls. It is a mistake to let people think they can 'change sex', they cannot.

 @BCTJ77Lagreed…2mos2MO

Post transition suicide rate, age limits on alcohol and tattoos, the fact that children cannot give informed consent.

 @BBFN6LLagreed…4mos4MO

People should not change who they are, despite the fact that it is people's choice on what theu do, I personally do not support this.

 @B97KH5Tagreed…6mos6MO

There's no clinical evidence for improvement from these therapies - and prima facie evidence of harms. In any other field of medicine, this "therapy" would be laughed out of court for it's negligible effect on mortality and morbidity - its on the level of homeopathy.

Pre adolescent teens frequently change their minds, often make unwise decisions due to lack of life knowledge. One of lifes biggest decisions can only be made as a responsible adult. 16 is to young.

 @B8YSBBFagreed…6mos6MO

there have been recent statistics showing that the many people that where transitioning in 2020, are now detransitioning, why is that? because people act without thinking and this is where it leads you, ive had personal friends detransition around the same time.

 @B8BF28Magreed…8mos8MO

For children aged 12‑15 who received puberty‑blockers (GnRHa), a UK study found that 15‑34% “reliably deteriorated” on subscales of psychological outcomes over 36 months; rates of clinically significant positive change ranged from 0‑35% depending on the measure.

 @B9CZX4H agreed…6mos6MO

Because if someone transitions into the opposite sex, they may feel pressured due to the hyperfocus on LGBTQ related topics to become trans or they may not feel trans but may in future make a mistake that Professionalls could prevent (not saying this is a majority of trans individuals just some, and they can do what they wish with their bodies)

 @9NKJLHDagreed…2yrs2Y

Children should not be allowed to make life changing decisions. Do what you want with the right care and mental support to ensure decisions are made fairly and accurately, but only as an adult

 @9MXT4XB agreed…2yrs2Y

It’s a new phenomenon which I’m unfamiliar with myself, however I know that until I reached around 25 that I knew so little about myself or the world. For example when I was 16 I thought the voting age should be dropped to 16 from 18, and now I’ve had more life experience and perspective, I see how little I understood back then in comparison to now, and actually would argue it should be raised.

It’s not my decision or right to say if people should or shouldn’t get to transition, I would just encourage patience, support and time.

 @9NPY43Sagreed…2yrs2Y

Gender confusion all stems from mental change primarily due to teenagers changing and developing so it is completely natural to be confused about who you are or what you look like, body dismorphia, another study shows that nearing the end of civilisations the people of said civilisations always get confused about gender, it happened with the romans, the Egyptians etc. Another thing that creates this confusion and change is social media young kids and immature adults get hooked into, trends and how to be different through manipulation and the simple fact they truly don't know what to do with themselves because their life is so easy living in a HIC.

 @9NCF8MY agreed…2yrs2Y

80% of children who exhibit signs of gender dismorphia who aren't encouraged into it just wind up being homosexual
Suicide rates/detransitioner numbers are soaring
Children (many times, on many videos) if given the opportunity do not choose the best/healthy options, on one video when asked "if you could change one thing about your body, what would it be?" Several responses were "a unicorn horn", "a shark head" and "a dog tail"

 @9MY9H4FLabouragreed…2yrs2Y

People under the age of 18 who want the treatment, their brains have not fully developed as a small baby boy could be seen putting on makeup, fluffy pink room etc and the parents make the child believe they are trans when its all apart of a child growing up. children are constantly confused by what they are or who they are, especially in this generation growing up. therefore i believe people under the age of 18 should not be allowed to take drugs/medication too change their identity. a child is allowed to say “i feel like im a boy/i wish i was a boy” and vice versa but they certainly shouldn’t act on it until they are an adult themselves.

 @9LLTYD5agreed…2yrs2Y

Once again, people under the age of 18 don’t have a fully developed mind yet. Personally, I don’t mind if they want to identify as another gender whilst under the age of 18 if they are uncomfortable in their body and 100% sure in their decision but allowing children to receive a life changing, expensive surgery at such a young age shouldn’t be allowed. Not only could it be dangerous but it completely changes their life, their one and only life. Not to mention the complications and medical procedures they’ll have to go through after the transition is performed!

 @9NKKMRQIndependentagreed…2yrs2Y

It's important to look into providing hormones that align with a person's biological sex. Instead of giving hormones to change a person's sex, we should provide hormones that correspond to the sex they actually are. For example, men who identify as women may benefit from receiving more testosterone. It's surprising that this wasn't considered when the decision to give hormones to change sex was made.

 @9M2K3LWLabouragreed…2yrs2Y

Gender is a spectrum, don’t confuse this with attention seeking or mental illness, it needs to be done on a case by case basis. “Straight white male, who lost one of his best friends ‘bisexual male’ last year!!!” Nothing romantic, I miss winding up my friend and going out drinking with my mate!!!

 @BDZCPSYLabour agreed…1 day1D

I was born a man so I’d like to think the uk mass population will be happy with the agenda that we’re born with
however there shouldn’t be such e old school way of thinking when it comes to changing gender
