Children struggle to decide what film they want to watch and they change their minds almost everyday. It is not right that we allow children who at that age are heavily influenced by their peers and are not even fully grown humans to make such a fundamental change to their bodies with or without the consent of their parents.

Once again, people under the age of 18 don’t have a fully developed mind yet. Personally, I don’t mind if they want to identify as another gender whilst under the age of 18 if they are uncomfortable in their body and 100% sure in their decision but allowing children to receive a life changing, expensive surgery at such a young age shouldn’t be allowed. Not only could it be dangerous but it completely changes their life, their one and only life. Not to mention the complications and medical procedures they’ll have to go through after the transition is performed!

Take for example, the increasing rape of women from men who are 'transitioning' to female, women are now beginning to fear even using FEMALE toilets or and changing rooms, due to many men taking advantage of the fact that it's so easy to say you've changed gender.

Gender transition is not well funded or well researched. Support is patchy and uneven, making it difficult for all, especially children.

Children (and adults under the age of 25) do not have fully matured brains and therefore do not have capacity to make life changing decisions. This is not a cost issue primarily but rather we should not be enabling anyone to make irreversible changes to their body because of the biological impossibility of changing sex.

Gender Ideology has come up only recently in our culture and is highly identified in online circles and leftist circles, it acts as a modern day counterculture similar to the Hippie movements of the 60's. As history shows us, Counterculture revolutionary movements often die out as a generation grows up, however gender transitioning is more permanent and it can seriously stint a childs growth or development. This is a risk we should not allow our youth to take.

Puberty blockers used to treat children aged 12 to 15 who have severe and persistent gender dysphoria had no significant effect on their psychological function, thoughts of self-harm, or body image, a study has found.1

However, as expected, the children experienced reduced growth in height and bone strength by the time they finished their treatment at age 16.

The findings, from a study of 44 children treated by the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in London, have emerged as the trust prepares to appeal against a High Court ruling that led NHS England to pause referrals of under 16s for puberty blockers.2

Men and women are built differently. Men are men, women are women.

You can dress how you like and live life how you feel happiest, but at the end of the day you are what you are. As long as you are a good person who is kind to others is all that matters.

Under 18's should be protected from any influence so they can come to their own decision about what's right for them.
