Should the House of Lords be a wholly elected body?
No, appointed members provide stability and progress instead of political deadlock
Appointments should be made via professional bodies covering a vast range of industries in order to reduce bias and bribery. Professional bodies should hold internal votes to identify appropriate candidates to be put forward for peerage into the house of lords in order to represent their interests, provide subject matter experience and act on behalf of the professional bodies in all matters relating to their field.
