Being able to speak other languages allows you to express feelings in ways that might be limited within your own language. It also opens up a whole new world of history and culture. Also a lot of meaning is lost in translation, speaking the language allows for authenticity. I also feel like people don't understand how hard learning a new language is until they do it and a lot of bias will be broken down by learning new languages
