It can often appear that all news is bad news depending on your news sources and I would say we are largely fed bad news. All of these stories touch me and I accept that by the very nature of their position that UN Peacekeepers can be in dangerous situations but I find the tragedy of this story the most touching given their intentions and potential positive influence which is now, at the very least, disrupted

It’s about actual humans coming to harm. That is more shocking and saddening than political battles and money. These at worst incur lifestyle changes, not loss of life.
