In 2024 global leaders including Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak and Emmanuel Macron publicly questioned the leadership of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Their criticisms came after the Gaza War reached a stalemate in March 2024 as Israel was planning an invasion of the Gaza City of Rafah. Western leaders insisted that all civilians should be evacuated from the city prior to an invasion. Netanyahu responded by saying that Israel is "not a banana republic" and doesn't listen to the other countries when security is on the line. Western leaders fear that if the Rafah invasion happens without an evacuation a further massacre of Palestinian citizens will take place. Israel political observers note that Netanyahu is incentivized to prolong the war since he will likely be voted out of office at its conclusion.

He is a major problem but removing him now might result in a worse problem, until HAMAS is eradicated.

Israel situation is complicated. We need to maintain contact but be free to criticise where necessary

The government should support the country, not the person or political party.

Should put pressure on netanyahus regime to be dismantled
@9LMNGPX2wks2W
As long as he accepts that enough people have died

Israel should decide without interference. Should Israel have a say in Britain?
@9LG77XG3wks3W
The British Government should not be committed to any one individual's leadership of a foreign government but must remain committed to the State of Israel.
@9LG36FW3wks3W
Conditional, if both Israeli and Palestinian authories respected Arab and *** rights from each land.
@9LFJM583wks3W
2 state solution. Support as a whole however condemn bombing innocent buildings and killing innocent people
@ISIDEWITH3wks3W
No
It is between that and choosing a state that's an autocratic theocracy whose laws discriminate against women, homosexuals and different religions. The Israeli state's values are more in lockstep with the UK values whilst also giving the UK a valuable ally in the region against antagonistic powers like Iran.
@ISIDEWITH3wks3W
Yes
Why stop aid to a geopolitical ally whose values are similar to our own whilst they are attempting to rescue hostages (most of whom have already been murdered). It is common sense to do so in terms of the UK's interests.

If you’re arguing yes then you’re essentially pro war crimes, and I’m not sure I want to debate with you…
