Give people free houses. Society is about lifting up the underprivileged to bring future success upon the success of others not a London's Biggest Landlord contest.

Increasing funding for homeless shelters will help as long as other efforts like lessons for finding housing and more help finding jobs.

I think it would mostly help their quality of life but might put off on going into housing, causing many homeless people to stay homeless and cause the number to increase which is negative.

 @9W3MWT5Reform UKanswered…6mos6MO

Homeless people should be given housing over migrants and immigrants. Homeless shelters should be turned into food banks where people can get food and meals if they cannot afford it

I may recommend lessons to help them recover from homelessness and any addictions

 @9VY8CNNfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Funding homeless shelters is not enough on it's own but it still should be enacted. It will help mitigate the issue of homelessness, but on its own it is not enough.

 @9VXFNSFGreenfrom New York  answered…6mos6MO

Give people free housing. There's your solution. Stop commoditizing housing

 @9VSYZ2Xanswered…6mos6MO

I think homeless shelters should get enough funding for normal operations, but no more.

 @9VMSTFGanswered…6mos6MO

Yes it will help because people could be paid to work at the shelters instead of relying on volunteers, and better services overall can be provided.

 @9VM9W8Banswered…6mos6MO

It will help but better management of funds and efficiency will better help

 @9VLN2L6Liberal Democratanswered…6mos6MO

It will help as a temporary measure shelters are temporary and never intended to be long term. So funding for additional spaces would be beneficial to take people of the streets but there needs to be more backing into migrating the homeless population back into society with the right support.

 @9VJHY48 answered…6mos6MO

We need to encourage the homeless to find jobs, assuming they are physically able to do so.

 @9VCN67Yanswered…6mos6MO

Yes, increasing funding for shelters can decrease the amount of homeless on the streets

 @9V2RRLYGreenanswered…6mos6MO

it will help, less homeless people will freeze to death in winter or starve

 @9V2RQZDanswered…6mos6MO

I believe that homeless people should receive a second chance, if they are shown to improve they can be provided help otherwise they shouldn't receive help. They shouldn't receive financial support in any way but housing.

 @9WM6R89answered…5mos5MO

Shelters can be important, but the government must pursue a housing first policy and begin constructing new social housing projects

 @9WHW2MNanswered…5mos5MO

Increasing funding for shelters would only make a different to the homeless people who want the shelter and not the ones who just want alcohol and drugs. Homeless people are homeless for a reason and should get a job.

 @9VRPWV2answered…6mos6MO

I think funding needs to be instead focused into helping homeless people get jobs and re enter society.

 @9VPSDHYanswered…6mos6MO

it will help, but the money should be used to fund prgrams to get people out of homelessness rather than keeping htem in with high quality housing

 @9VPQLMGLiberal Democratanswered…6mos6MO

i believe that it will help homeless people get off the street and start from a clean slate. however i'm not certain that this could be a long term solution as they will need to make a living for themselves rather than living off of funds/other tax payers for benefits.

 @9VPQB78answered…6mos6MO

it will lead to other challenges but it will also be of big help in many ways
