Boris Johnson's upcoming memoir, 'Unleashed,' reveals a previously unknown attempt by the former UK Prime Minister to stop Prince Harry from leaving the country.
Johnson reportedly gave a 'manly pep talk' to Harry in a last-ditch effort to prevent the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from stepping back from royal duties and relocating abroad. The memoir, which will be serialized in the Daily Mail, sheds light on the behind-the-scenes panic at Number 10 during the final days before Harry's departure.
Johnson's intervention, however, was ultimately unsuccessful.

Honestly, it’s good to hear that Boris Johnson tried to do something to keep Prince Harry in the fold. The monarchy is such a core part of our national identity, and seeing Harry walk away from royal duties was a real blow. It’s a shame Johnson’s efforts didn’t work out, but I appreciate that he recognized the importance of the situation.
Why on earth would a politician think they have any business getting involved in someone’s personal decisions like leaving the country? Prince Harry’s life is his own, and the government should stick to governing, not trying to control people’s choices. This is exactly why we need less government interference in our lives.
