This is exactly why government-run public transportation is such a mess. When you have monopolies like TfL, people are left with no options when the unions flex their muscles. If transportation were privatized, competition would mean fewer strikes and better service.

Ah, what a blissfully strike-free time these past few months have been. London’s rail network hasn’t seen a strike since way back in April, and there hasn’t been a full-scale tube strike since March 2023.
