Agence France-Presse (AFP) and other media organizations are urgently warning that journalists in Gaza are facing life-threatening starvation and exhaustion due to the ongoing conflict and blockade.
AFP has called on the Israeli government to allow its freelance journalists and their families to evacuate, citing desperate hunger, lack of clean water, and deteriorating health. Humanitarian aid is severely restricted, with thousands of trucks waiting at the border, and even aid workers and reporters are fainting from malnutrition. International media and French officials are pressing Israel to grant foreign press access to Gaza to document the crisis.
Without immediate intervention, AFP warns that the last remaining reporters in Gaza may die from starvation.
