The latest Henley Passport Index for 2025 reveals that Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, granting visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 193 destinations.
Asian countries, particularly Japan and South Korea, also dominate the top ranks, while the US and UK have dropped to their lowest positions ever, now tied at 10th place. India made the most significant improvement, jumping eight spots to 77th, allowing its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries. The rankings highlight shifting global mobility trends, with Asian and Middle Eastern nations rising as Western passports lose ground.
This shift is attributed to changing diplomatic relations and evolving international travel policies.
