The latest Henley Passport Index reveals a major shakeup in global passport power for 2025. Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 193 destinations, while other Asian nations like Japan and South Korea also dominate the top ranks.
The US and UK passports have both dropped to their lowest positions ever, now ranking 10th and below several European and Asian countries. India made the biggest leap, jumping eight spots to 77th place, granting its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries.
The rankings highlight shifting global mobility trends, with Asian and Middle Eastern countries gaining ground as traditional Western powers decline.
