The latest Henley Passport Index reveals a major shakeup in global passport power for 2025. Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, granting visa-free access to 193 destinations, while other Asian nations like Japan and South Korea also dominate the top ranks.
The US and UK passports have both fallen to their lowest positions ever, now ranking 10th and below several European and Asian countries. India made the largest jump, climbing eight spots to 77th place, allowing its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries.
The rankings highlight shifting global mobility trends, with Asian countries rising and traditional Western powers losing ground.
