Rome Set to Host Half a Million Youth for Monumental Catholic Jubilee

Rome is preparing to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Holy Year.

The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious gatherings, guided tours, and special access to the Holy Doors of the Papal Basilicas. The event aims to foster hope, fraternity, and peace among youth from around the world, with participants coming from diverse regions including Korea, Egypt, South Africa, and the United States. The Vatican and local organizers are making extensive preparations to accommodate the influx, including measures for the expected high temperatures.

The Jubilee is seen as a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, cultural exchange, and global unity among young Catholics.
