Rome Prepares for Historic Influx as Half a Million Youth Gather for Global Catholic Jubilee

Rome is set to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Holy Year.

The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious ceremonies, cultural events, and opportunities for spiritual growth, including access to the Holy Doors of the Papal Basilicas. The event aims to foster hope, fraternity, and peace among youth from around the world, with significant participation from countries such as South Korea, Egypt, and the United States. Special arrangements, including livestreams and guided tours, have been made to ensure global participation and engagement.

Organizers and Church leaders emphasize the Jubilee as a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young Catholics to unite in faith and solidarity.
