Rome Braces for Historic Influx as Half a Million Youth Gather for Catholic Jubilee

Rome is preparing to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Holy Year.

The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious ceremonies, cultural events, and opportunities for spiritual growth, including access to the Holy Doors of the Papal Basilicas. The event aims to foster hope, fraternity, and peace among youth in a world marked by conflict. Pilgrims from across the globe, including large groups from Korea, Egypt, and the United States, will participate both in person and via livestreams.

Organizers emphasize the Jubilee as a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience for young Catholics to unite in faith and community.
