Asian Passports Surge as US and UK Slide in Global Power Rankings—India Makes Biggest Leap

The latest Henley Passport Index reveals a major shakeup in global passport power, with Asian countries dominating the top spots.

Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 193 destinations, while Japan and South Korea tie for second place. The US and UK have both slipped to their lowest rankings ever, with the US now at 10th place. India made the largest jump this year, climbing from 85th to 77th, granting its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries.

The rankings highlight a growing mobility gap, with Asian and some European nations increasing their travel freedom, while traditional Western leaders lose ground.
