Rome Braces for Massive Global Catholic Youth Jubilee: Half a Million Expected

Rome is preparing to host over half a million young Catholics from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Holy Year.

The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious ceremonies, guided tours, and opportunities for spiritual growth and international fellowship. The event is being compared to World Youth Day in scale and significance, with participants coming from every continent, including large delegations from Korea, Africa, and the United States. Organizers and Church leaders emphasize the Jubilee as a chance to foster hope, peace, and unity among young people in a world facing conflict.
