While this is small example it's still important. When mcdonalds stopped using plastic straws and went to paper, that was not because if regulations. Maybe some urging from the Government, but ultimately, they knew the public consensus on this and changed as to stay profitable with the public.

Even if this was true, providing one small example from one company is misleading. Companies want money above all else, and while that sometimes is in line with pro environmental views, many times it isn't. Look at our rivers in the UK being mass polluted to save money.
Environmental regulation is a must, the water companies spewing sewage into rivers for example, id renationalise all and that would not happen, but the net zero emissions agenda is a scam and there is plenty of experts presenting data and facts that support this. I havent got time to find examples.

The ULEZ in London is so expensive that van drivers are unfortunately having to give up there trade due to the cost of driving around London due to ULEZ

A change that cannot be made over night, it has to be a gradual process. People won't change overnight and neither will companies. It has to be achieved by means of easier to reach targets and gradually.
