Yes, but with heavier oversight and set a government support users over private companies, and retain the right to waver contract and nationalise parts of service until next private contractor

The current national railway is ridiculous. It is delayed and ridiculously expensive. I would suggest doing exactly what the Netherlands does.

If state owned could work better, but we are too far down the privatisation route. There should be price caps. Also, how do you have local control in of something meant to get you from one place to a different place?
