There is a necessity for a chamber of sober second thought, particularly given the polarization of UK politics and the emergence of far-right elements. However, the peerage system is broken and used as a form of cronyism, and the Lords should be abolished to be replaced with a Citizens Assembly.

Yes and it should be replaced with an assembly of 1000 randomly selected citizens who serve for 6 month terms and will have the power to veto or suggest changes to any legislation.

No, but there has to be a change on how people are selected for the HoL's, we can't allow governments to stock it full of cronies as this increases and promotes corruption.

It should moved into an elected legislature, still called the House of Lords made up of public ally elected life time peers of different ranks based upon their different contributions to British Society

No but the selection policy should be reviewed so the house is fit for purpose as opposed to a prize to be given for dodgy favours doubtless recieved

No we should have a second chamber but they shouldn't get £300 just for turning up!

I’m order to become a life peer, a genuine reason/ eligibility has to be presented. Cash For Peerages must stop, and it should be possible to strip ‘Lords’ of their title upon public outcry and investigation.

House of Lords should be replaced by a group or randomly selected citizens, changing members at regular intervals.
