If government spends your taxes, you should have a say in who should be in government. Shareholders expect to have a say in how companies are managed. You would not give money to any organisation without a minimum level of oversight, albeit it infrequently.

Not taxation without representation, if I'm giving money to the government but I don't have the power to change who's in power then i shouldn't be giving money to them.

They are responsible and of an age to have their own income reported and their share put towards society so they should be entitled to vote.

They are deemed old enough to have their income reported and their share put towards society so they should get a vote.

If you financially contribute to a country you should be allowed to have a say in how that money is spent i.e. by choosing the party that aligns most with your beliefs.

nobody under the age of 18 is earning enough to pay taxes or paying taxes of a decent rate. This is a weird question because why does taxes have anything to do with who or what age should be allowed to vote? It’s absolutely irrelevant.

People that are paying for this country have a fundamental right to decide the outcome of this country, we are trying to prevent a revolution at this point, we shouldn't be trying to push opinions away at this stage.

If you are contributing to public funds and national insurance, you have a right to have a say in where that money is going, regardless of age.

Stop trying to convince people not to vote. If you pay tax you should have a say on how you're taxes are spent, regardless of understanding. Maybe make politics more accessible first, yeah?

If you are able to join the military and serve your country at 16/17, why can't you vote, you can have children at 16 but you can't vote, you can contribute taxes to society but you can't vote. Flawed system
