Removing a threat via assassination creates a Vaccuum for another person to replace them. The assassination can lead to martyrdom and reinforce the threat.

If we allow people, such as Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi to reign freely; we are allowing many lives to be lost in the pursuit of so called "Morality".
Some people cannot be left to live.
