Only if the safe havens have a duty of care to promote rehabilitation and there are plenty of accessible rehab centres

 @9Q3X56WLabouranswered…9mos9MO

Yes, as a short term solution with the caveat that they are enrolled and are participating in a rehabilitation program

 @9PMMB2ZLabouranswered…9mos9MO

Yes as this will help crime rates and death rates and if people are going to do it at least it will be in a safe place

 @9PJXLR6Labouranswered…10mos10MO

No I don’t believe it would be used as not conducive to behaviour of addicts - people wouldn’t engage with the idea

 @9PGZR3Manswered…10mos10MO

This should be allowed but with an additional help, with the aim to remove the dependence of the the drug. Providing physiological help along with weening off the illegal drug dependence.

 @9N3MGLTLabouranswered…10mos10MO

Yes. However, when you get in your drugs are examined and told exactly what is in it and given the option whether you do still want to take it. If not you can surrender it and walk away. Like in Australia.

 @9PYYG4Hanswered…9mos9MO

This would be good to have but should not be publicly funder. Instead users could purchase the drugs from the establishment and this money would then fund it.

 @9PYN5HNLabouranswered…9mos9MO

Yes bur with a view to work woth those addicted to try to break the addiction and try to build resilience against readdiction

 @9PQKJD7Labouranswered…9mos9MO

Mandatory rehab/jail for prolific drug abusers like heroin/crack cocaine. These people contribute nothing to society but drain it. This would create more jobs in health care too

 @9LPHX5Qanswered…11mos11MO

No. But maybe increase funding for rehab centres and perhaps put the legalisation of certain drugs like Cannabis for medical reasons to the people in a referendum.

 @9JMP83PLabouranswered…1yr1Y

Yes, but ensure professional help and safeguarding is in place to ensure a reduction in the levels of drugs taken by those drug users, such as therapy, etc.

 @9HC4PT8answered…1yr1Y

i think that there should be restrictions and regulations but drugs should be legal just controlled and come with advice.

 @9FYR5BMLabouranswered…1yr1Y

a lot of drug culture is based around counterculture, people would probably not support the government establishing it

 @9FLCQBTLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

 @9FLBHMJLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but people who use these facilities should be enrolled into rehab. More funding should be put into rehab facilities for those who are unable to afford it.

 @9FFVPNWLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

 @9NQVDL7answered…10mos10MO

Yes for illegal drugs but I feel that ecstasy and marijuana should be legalised and available to buy in controlled amounts

 @9BY45F7Labouranswered…2yrs2Y

 @96BFX5PLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Drug use is a symptom of underlying difficulties. Addicts should be helped to resolve the problems and off the drugs.

 @95NZHLTanswered…3yrs3Y

yes, because rehab only works if the person wants to stop, and if it is done in a controlled enviroment then they may be persuaded to help themselves or get help if something goes wrong. it could also help reduce bloodbourne diseases spread through sharing needles.

 @92GBD9MLabouranswered…3yrs3Y

Addicts should actively be given the rehabilitation resources and support with their drug use issues.

 @92DQGXJLabouranswered…3yrs3Y

 @8WJ2Y76answered…3yrs3Y

No, but more incentives to reduce illegal drug use should be implemented

 @8TFGP8PLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

No, but drug abuse needs to be treated as a health issue. Safe Havens won't cut it.

 @8RSDXGVLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

I am torn between the fact that it would encourage drug use, but also reduce fatalities from dug overdoses

 @8QH9GMVanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but this should be done as part of a rehabilitation program meaning that those whole wish to use the drugs must commit themselves to a program to help them overcome their addiction afterwards.

 @8P9KYKRanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, this is necessary to reduce the drug overdose death rate and drug abuse should be treated as a health issue, not a criminal issue

 @9C3SC2QLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

No but punish possession of drugs with mandatory rehab and counselling. Chop the hands off the dealers with no benefits payable.

 @9B7VMVXLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Yes but in conjunction of helping them become drug free working with rehabilitation centers

 @999JKTWanswered…2yrs2Y

No because it somewhat would promote the idea that drug use is okay, but I do believe there should be more funding put into helping addicts come over their addictions

 @9963DVPLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

i think marijuana should be legal and sold in shops as it would lower gang activity and gang violence

 @8WJNTWBLabouranswered…3yrs3Y

I feel that this could work but the people should only use what they need to to stay active and over time they can be leaned off it. As a result this needs to be treated as a health issue

 @9BX9RY7answered…2yrs2Y

This is a complex issue that most people will not understand unless they work in rehabilitation - a nonsense question!

 @98WBZWXLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but over time lower the dose so the drug users become less and less dependent on it and eventually giving up on it.

 @98VKSYXanswered…2yrs2Y

It should be treated as health issue however it shouldn't be encouraged.
