I am ambivalent on this . Definitely not for cosmetics but life saving vaccines or anti cancer drugs ..

 @9M52XJBanswered…11mos11MO

Only if the material is proved to be safe for the animals beforehand and that the animals are treated with care and their welfare prioritised.

 @9N32XRHanswered…10mos10MO

In a humane way that does not permanently damage the animal, for example genetic modification that causes lifelong suffering

 @9C2M7BSanswered…2yrs2Y

They shouldn’t use animals at all and instead should use past criminals such as murderers.

 @96PQCF3answered…2yrs2Y

No, but while it's the only option and until we can find a better one, it is acceptable

 @95MMGZQanswered…3yrs3Y

 @94H8BM4answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, never for cosmetic. But we should be funding research in tissue based practices

 @9239TCDanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only if the research is of significant importance, no alternative model is available and strict welfare standards are met

 @8ZJD8ZRanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but not for cosmetics. If the drugs are proven to be safe before use.

 @8Y2P5RZLabouranswered…3yrs3Y

Yes but as long as it is needed and the animal is not harmed in any way

 @8X8MB2BGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

No they should test on prisoners who have done horrible crimes like murder rape and cannibalism

 @8X3B46Canswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but greater funding should be made available for research in to animal free testing models to increase the speed at which animal testing can be phased out.

 @8WDNB2SLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

this depends on the harm done to the animals and how humane the testing is

 @8W3XSCXanswered…4yrs4Y

Only if it is proved that the product won't have extremely negative effects on the animal in prior testing stages. And, should the animal be subjected to extreme pain or psychological trauma, the animal should be aided in whatever way possible so that it can recover.

 @8TZZY4Wanswered…4yrs4Y

Only for animals that are less sensitive and don't have that many complex emotions

 @8TQRDTXanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, however there should be stringent regulations to make sure these things are done in the most humane ways possible; and only if unavoidable through digital means.

 @8TNYPXZanswered…4yrs4Y

Not for cosmetics. Yes for drugs, vaccines and medical devices where a clear case has been made that there is no safe testing option that is not animal based.

 @8TKMR4Wanswered…4yrs4Y

Animal testing should be regulated better such that animals do not go through torture.

 @8T6YPMMLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

No, unnecessary for cosmetics, inefficient in medical practise - diverts money away from finding newer, more effective and efficient methods.

 @8SSXP8Ranswered…4yrs4Y

Only for situations where it is impossible not to e.g. vaccines, or untested vital medicines. Animals should never be used for any other reasons.

 @8SMGXM3answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but not for cosmetics, and as long as other ways of testing are researched for the future

 @8SLXZK2answered…4yrs4Y

 @8S3C9WZanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only when absolutely necessary; and the threshold for what is necessary is much too low at present

 @8RYDVKKanswered…4yrs4Y

Final trials have to be used on some form of human-resembling species to confirm legitimacy. Though, luxury substances (cosmetics) should not be allowed.

 @8RLYLWQConservativeanswered…4yrs4Y

Only certain animals and only if people really need to test animals for medicines and vaccines

 @8RK2DQManswered…4yrs4Y

Only in the very latest stages, not for cosmetics. And any lab animal needs to be treated with dignity and proper care.

 @8RCBCJ5answered…4yrs4Y

 @8R5ZP4Yanswered…4yrs4Y

Animals should not be used for testing cosmetics, and should only be used for testing the safety of medicine when it’s absolutely necessary

 @8QDMKHPanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8QBCXTNanswered…4yrs4Y

Absolutely not, animals deserve just as much freedom as they want they shouldn't be used to benefit humans

 @8Q4QX6Qanswered…4yrs4Y

If it means it can cure horrific human diseases then yes, they can be tested on animals

 @8Q38D4Yanswered…4yrs4Y

 @9CML2NSanswered…2yrs2Y

If a product contains alot of chemicals, or poses a threat to the animal, I say no.

 @9CMCHW3answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only for life-saving medicines. Also, animal testing should be optional, and not a legal requirement.

 @99JPGQPLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

It should be permitted when absolutely necessary however for all other circumstances it should be banned

 @98GDV93answered…2yrs2Y

 @97NDL2Xanswered…2yrs2Y

 @8ZMNLK2answered…3yrs3Y

Nothing that could cause serious ling term pain or bad effects and should ever kill them
