Define animal. Drosphila are routinely used and few would mind about that. My answer depends on the specific case.

 @9N5JPYManswered…10mos10MO

Yes but under strict laws that are monitored to ensure the best welfare and outcome for both the animal and the research

Greater scrutiny should be applied to avoid unnecessary suffering/death of animals, although in certain instances it is something I agree is hard to avoid to ensure safe treatment for humans.

I think animals should not be used interesting however, I would rather if the product was harmful that an animal died than a human

Only if it is essential, a last resort - but no to testing for cosmetics

Yes, but not for cosmetics and only while there are not other viable animal friendly alternatives.

Ban testing on animals for cosmetics and focus on development of animal free testing for drugs and medical purposes

 @8RZ552Qanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes as long as it is necessary to test on animals. If cell lines can be used then use them

 @8RYDVKKanswered…4yrs4Y

Final trials have to be used on some form of human-resembling species to confirm legitimacy. Though, luxury substances (cosmetics) should not be allowed.

Yes, but the public should be made aware of the process. Not for cosmetics.

 @9C9YF2Qanswered…2yrs2Y

yes, it is a very reliable way of testing products and the products arent always harmful

 @99RJKZKGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

While I do believe that animal testing is, in this day and age, amoral and largely unnecessary, in cases where there is no better alternative the loss of animal life and wellbeing should be considered against the gain in human survival rates. If more beings will be able to live longer and happier, then it is the correct choice but otherwise it should not be permitted.

 @997HQW5answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only when incredibly necessary there should be investigations into the need for animal testing and a licence required for each individual thing needing tested

 @8YRX2H9answered…3yrs3Y

Depends on the severity of the problem that the tested drug would aim to fix
