No but tighter regulations should be implemented to ensure truth and fairness are adhered to and misinformation is removed, acknowledged as such and any further advertising by offending party/individual be prohibited

There should be no political advertising and a more informative civilised approach should be taken to the election as the attempt to discredit other parties is similar watching adults behave in a way that teacher are attempting to correct in children

I would like to say yes but then this would restrict many people who's only source of political information is social media

 @9P26G36answered…10mos10MO

The same regulatory standards should be applied for social media advertising as for all other media, for both political and any other advertising.

 @94428Z4answered…3yrs3Y

No but there should be a limit to the maximum budget that all parties must adhere to.

 @93THDCLanswered…3yrs3Y

No, but it should be clear that it is political advertising and should be balanced.

 @9386V3Lanswered…3yrs3Y

Should ban political, religious topics although in order to reduce fake news. Politics, religion and other such topics should have a more managed and monitored platform

 @8Y5KV4Tanswered…3yrs3Y

No, but if there is misleading or false information in it then that should be flagged clearly for all to see before reading it

No, but cap digital advertising spending from political campaigns and introduce regulations to ensure third party bodies cannot be used to circumvent this.

No but in order to operate, social media companies must agree to strictly regulate political advertising for fairness and remove any and all ads that are verifiably false - banning repeat offenders.

No but the advertising should be heavily regulated by the electoral commission to allow transparency and fairness.

 @8QXZ2HHanswered…4yrs4Y

Political advertising on social media should be equal, non-bias and only censored/removed by an independent body, who deems the content wholly inaccurate/misleading or inciting hate and criminal behaviour

 @8Q5SY4Nanswered…4yrs4Y

No, but they should make it sure (explicitly) that it is a political advertisement.

 @8PP8CSYanswered…4yrs4Y

no but the should run extensive fact checking on all advertisements before they're put on social media

I am more concerned about algorithms that mean you only see certain views- there is nothing wrong with political advertising so long as you are exposed to all different sides. I think the government should impose much tighter restrictions on the ways in which social media companies can use peoples data to target advertising

 @8Y2LRPBanswered…3yrs3Y

I think there should be a level playing field and same amount of money should be spent because there is an inequity. Also I don't trust the government to define what advertising is or isn't.

Kind of Unless If its something bad etc. Abolishing Monarchy, Bringing back communism, etc

 @9CJHNNWLiberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

Political advertising should be subject to the same regulation as other advertising
