Wired infrastructure will become financially unviable within 5 years. The only value within those services will be the copper within their infrastructure. They can't even compete with cell & satellite services today. It's Steam train vs Bullet train at a fraction of the cost & no geographic location.

Internet should be a public utility with a basic level provided for free to all households with upgrades available for those who wish to pay. Businesses should have the choice to pay for internet or not, similar to water and refuse charges
