An “essential service” classification prevents employees of a government service from staging full-scale strikes and walkouts. Services with the classification are required by law to provide minimum services during periods of industrial action. Proponents of the proposal argue that strikes by underground workers cause significant disruption to the country’s economy and people’s lives. Opponents argue that the proposal would prevent workers from exercising their rights.

Workers should not be prevented from striking for better pay and conditions. However, skeleton services are still important

i think people have a right to argue their own opinion but also it can be quite destructive for overs

yes, but the worker strikes are for the greater good of the workers because clearly they are not payed enough for their work or it is unsustainable compared to the cost of living crisis.
Yes, but only those who agree to the hours to suit the worker as a “fixed” service not subject to any change from the service provider

The workers are striking due to many different reasons, working conditions, pay etc. The issues they have should be resolved. That would avoid them striking
@9MQVG3W11mos11MO
i agree it is an essential service but would not advocate against the rights of workers to strike if pay is unfair, working conditions are poor or they are generally being exploited

Yes, it is an essential service, but strikes and unionisation should still be allowed, there should be some sort of reduced service during strikes the way schools still need to provide care to the most vulnerable children even if they are not teaching that day.
