Drug use should be treated as a medical issue, rather than a criminal one. Instead of sending addicts to prison, ensure that they have access to rehabilitation facilities if their addiction becomes dangerous. In the case of less dangerous drugs, namely cannabis, I think that individuals should be free to take these substances if they wish.
