Homeless people should have a place to go no matter what there situation but not in public buildings

 @9NFDG9BLabouranswered…10mos10MO

homeless people need secure hosing that can't be taken away from them and lots of support and they will become independent faster tynanyou think

 @9NF48KQGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Create more shelters or housing for homeless individuals. With support programs and rehabilitation systems.

 @9NB2Y45answered…10mos10MO

I believe there should be monitoring and ongoing support. Streets, schools and heavy public areas where children are should be clear and safe. Those with mental health and drug addiction should be monitored and supported , given level of risk to general public.

 @9N9VXLYLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

Provide safe areas for them to sleep rather than public property, as well as making food, health care, clothing available

 @9N645SYSNPanswered…10mos10MO

Yes and social programs should be made available however if they are antisocial they shouldn't be allowed to cause nuisance

 @9MYK6CVanswered…10mos10MO

No, but only if there are adequate social program options given and they do not have valid reason to refuse shelter offered

 @9MPC32Ranswered…10mos10MO

If they pose a public threat of course they should be aided in a rehab style facility, more hands on, as often those with serious mental health issues live on the streets sadly, until they are able to mix within society.

 @9MNY7XRanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, but support should be offered to them to help with finding a job, managing any health issues they have, helping them gain education if needed etc.

 @9DY78XPanswered…2yrs2Y

More needs to be done to understand why available shelter is unsuitable for these people. It's a nuanced issue.

 @9Q39JR6answered…9mos9MO

No, but create more social programs to provide basic provisions and support for employment/rehabilitation if/as needed

 @9PQG6LZanswered…9mos9MO

No, as long as the accommodation meets their needs in the sense of still being close to family and supportive networks around them.

 @9C3JYZHanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9BZ6NXWanswered…2yrs2Y

They should be allowed to do this and they should be allowed to comment on why the shelter or housing was inapproriate or refused, and these comments should be followed up

 @9BNHJHNanswered…2yrs2Y

If refusal is based on addiction, rehabilitation programmes should be mandatory

 @97RLT3Manswered…2yrs2Y

to introduce a programme where homeless can gain skills to get back on a job to be able to rent a house for themselves.

 @96934M4answered…2yrs2Y

 @94DS2JVanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but as long as they don't interfere or become dangerous towards a certain place and people who access it.

 @93Q6FL4answered…3yrs3Y

They should be able to camp if they haven't been given somewhere that allows pets

 @93PKBZDanswered…3yrs3Y

 @93G2NCVGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

I don’t think it should be criminalised, but I don’t think they should be aloud to beg openly on the streets during day time. And I do feel awful.

 @9355KQDanswered…3yrs3Y

Can we look into why these individuals are refusing shelter or housing? I believe there is improvement to be made in our housing support.

 @92XGZ9VLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

No unless the shelter or housing is made available only under certain conditions which would require the individual to, for example, get rid of their dog.

 @92Q3VXQLabouranswered…3yrs3Y

If there is no where else for them to go then it should be allowed but I also believe we have plenty of space to set up campsites where there could be charity’s working within them to help people get back on their feet

 @92LJ44Danswered…3yrs3Y

Make use of unused buildings or houses as homeless shelters, like hostels

 @92J89R9answered…3yrs3Y

 @92CJRT2answered…3yrs3Y

They should be aloud to camp on abbandonned buildings and parks as long as there not begging

 @92737ZLanswered…3yrs3Y

I believe spaces should be made for homeless people instead of them seeing public places as being the only alternative.

 @99QFY2SLiberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

It depends on the situation. All in all however i do think we should be more empathetic to homeless people and the government should put in more steps to help where they can.

 @99GMD9Sanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but not in a way that limits its use by other people during the day

 @9994KQWLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and create more social programs to provide free food, clothing, medicine and mental healthcare.

 @998TSBGanswered…2yrs2Y

In some cases, yes, however the use of drugs and alcohol should not be allowed and they should seek shelter as soon as possible

 @98K3MGWanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but provide more social programs, initiatives, food and clothing to encourage a new path.

 @984RJ67answered…2yrs2Y

Homelessness is an issue all round down to social housing and the private housing.

 @97SDTJ7answered…2yrs2Y

There should be enough housing that they don’t need to sleep in public areas

 @973P6R5answered…2yrs2Y

 @93M3HG5answered…3yrs3Y

I think no In built up city areas, but we should provide camping spaces, and allow people to camp in non heavily built up areas.
